Core Values
Here at Skyward, we believe that every dog is an individual. Each program is reflected on that belief. We use balanced training methods which includes using a variety in different rewards and training tools. We do use training collars such as prongs and e-collars to proof our behaviors once a rewards based foundation is laid down. We also believe in proper outlets to satisfy your dog’s natural drives and abilities and encourage our clients to get into a recreational dog sport. Boise has so many sports to check out; barn hunt, dock diving, flyball, agility, and rally, are just some of many fun family friendly sports found in the Treasure Valley. As well as actively researching the latest dog training methods and gaining experience, we are constantly improving our program and resources.
Every dog teaches us something new, we truly never stop learning.

Cloud - Border Collie
Cloud is the youngest member of the pack born early 2024. Cloud came all the way from Ohio and has shined as a very stable proper gentleman. Cloud has yet to meet a stranger and is very handler focused making him an excellent asset to the business as a controlled introductary distraction. Cloud loves playing frisbee, agility and snuggling on the couch when he's not working!
Majora - Finnish Lapphund
Majora is a Finnish Lapphund, an ancient reindeer herding breed developed by the Sami of Finland. He was born late 2022. Majora is a very easy going and friendly boy who enjoys partaking in the occasional sport, but truly longs to become one with the furniture. His mischievous nature makes him an incredible difficult distraction when using him for demo work.
Hylia- Border Collie
Hylia was born in 2020, she was a pandemic puppy! Hylia is our most famous helper dog and is the dog featured on our logo. Hylia is an up coming sports dog as well as being an amazing helper for our clients. So far she has been able to excel in the sports of herding, flying disc, trick training and barn hunt. She is actively competing in barn hunt but has plans to compete in as many venues possible. Her motto is fast or faster and has a very great attitude and temperament. As a workaholic, she thrives in the busy environment. She is very friendly to dogs and people and we have high hopes in her many careers! When she is not working, she is often found playing with the other dogs or begging to work some more!
